Supporting Drought-Affected Australian Farmers

Wednesday, 22 August, 2018

Australia is experiencing it's worst drought in more than 100 years. Nestlé Australia will be supporting the drought relief efforts.

If you’ve listened to the news lately, you will know that Australia is now experiencing the worst drought in more than 100 years. Stock feed and transport costs are rapidly increasing as drought-stricken farmers need to look further afield for supplies.

Australian farmers are vital to our business and the wider foodservice industry – they supply us with many of the raw ingredients that we use in our products and that you serve in your meals. Supporting our communities – particularly our farming communities – aligns strongly with our purpose at Nestlé.

We are pleased to announce that Nestlé Australia will be supporting the drought relief efforts with a donation to Rural Aid's Buy a Bale an organisation that provides meaningful support and tangible resources to drought affected communities, such as stock feed and money.

We are also working with our partner Foodbank Australia to provide food and beverage donations to support the farming communities, as well as pet food for working dogs.
