Having volunteered as a pastry chef at a prestigious four-and-a-half-star hotel, Blake's passion for food and fine dining is evident. His dream is to combine his expertise in cooking, baking, and patisserie to create an unforgettable gastronomic experience. With the scholarship funds, Blake aims to further enhance his culinary knowledge, explore international cuisines, and learn new preparation techniques.

Recipient 2: Madison (Madi) Muir

Madison Muir, a student pursuing a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery/Certificate IV in Patisserie (Dual Qualification), has always dreamed of owning her own café with a focus on home-grown fresh food. Inspired by her mother's cooking using ingredients from their garden, Madison aims to provide wholesome and delicious food to others. She aspires to meet high expectations and share her passion with others. The scholarship funds will allow Madison to dedicate more time to exploring her passions, volunteering with organisations like Foodbank, and furthering her culinary education by studying additional courses at William Angliss Institute.

Recipient 5: May Yan

May Yan, has an impressive academic background having completed a combined Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (LLB/BCom) at the University of Western Australia and is currently studying Certificate III in Commercial Cookery. May's long-term career goals revolve around working in the foodservice industry, particularly in modern fusion restaurants. With a focus on gaining work experience and networking in the first few years, May aspires to then start her own venture, eventually opening her own restaurant in Melbourne. The scholarship funds will support her journey by covering expenses associated with the course, including uniforms, equipment, and other education-related expenses.
