Made with fresh milk, this product contains 95% less fat than cream and is 98.5% fat-free. CARNATION Light & Creamy Evaporated Milk is made from low-fat milk with approximately 60% of the water removed, creating a concentrated milk that gives your cooking a creamy taste and texture.

Ideal for creating beef stroganoff, pasta, and sweet desserts. As a concentrated milk product, the colour will be slightly darker than normal milk.

Beef Stroganoff
Serves 4
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes.
EASY

2 tsp olive oil
340mL CARNATION Light & Creamy Evaporated Milk
500g lean beef strips
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 onion, chopped
2 tsp beef stock powder
200g sliced mushrooms
Cooked rice to serve
3 tsp cornflour

  1. Heat oil in pan, add beef, brown evenly; remove from pan.
  2. Add garlic, onion and mushrooms to pan, cook 2 minutes.
  3. In a large jug; blend cornflour 1-2 tablespoons of CARNATION Light and Creamy Evaporated Milk, add remaining CARNATION Light and Creamy Evaporated Milk, tomato paste and beef stock powder, mix well; add to pan, bring to boil stirring. Return beef to pan, simmer 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve with cooked rice.
