Share a cuppa and start a meaningful conversation
Nescafé has partnered with public health promotion charity, R U OK? as the official 'cuppa' partner.
Throughout our three-year partnership, we will be encouraging Aussies to connect with their family, friends and work colleagues over a cup of Nescafé coffee.
After all, catching up over a coffee is the perfect time to check in with someone you care about to ask that short, but important question, ‘are you OK?’.
Who is R U OK?
R U OK? is a public health promotion charity that encourages people to stay connected and have conversations that can help others through difficult times in their lives. It focuses on building the motivation, confidence and skills of the help-giver – the person who can have a meaningful conversation with someone who may be struggling.
The message for R U OK?Day on September 14th 2023 is ‘I’m here, to hear.’

Why has NESCAFÉ partnered with R U OK?
A key barrier to initiating a mental health conversation with a friend, family, or colleague is being uncertain of the right time and the right way to ask.
Millions of cups of Nescafé are shared at home and at work every day, making it the perfect time to really check in with someone we care about. Through our partnership with R U OK? we want to inspire people to use these moments of connection to start a conversation that could make a difference.
In the time it takes to share a coffee, you can start a meaningful conversation, genuinely listen with an open mind, and show someone that you care.
Limited-edition R U OK? x NESCAFÉ tin
R U OK? research conducted in 2023 has found that of full time workers surveyed who opened up to someone about something that was troubling them in the past month, a quarter (1 in 4) had that conversation with a colleague.
Whether it’s in the office kitchen, staff breakroom, or work site, Nestlé Professional has a long legacy of bringing Aussies together over a cup of Nescafé Blend 43 coffee. So to celebrate the start of the partnership with R U OK? Nestlé Professional has released a limited-edition 1kg tin of Nescafé Blend 43. Made in our Gympie, Queensland, the new bold, yellow tin design is designed to act as a reminder and prompt important conversations in the workplace whilst sharing a cuppa together.
The tins also feature a QR code that guides Aussies through to the R U OK? website, where they can find free information and guidance on how to have supportive conversations.
The limited-edition R U OK? x Nescafé Blend 43 1kg tins are available to purchase from wholesale office and foodservice distributors.
