MAGGI Rich Gravy Red wine and Port Sauce

You can't beat a Red Wine Gravy, and using our MAGGI Rich Gravy and CHEF Red Wine and Port Reduction is the perfect base to get it right! Cut down kitchen time, and use this simple recipe to serve on a delicious steak. Makes 500ml

MAGGI Classic Rich Gravy Mix 7.5kg x 1CHEF Red wine port


Add the MAGGI® Rich Gravy Mix to half the water and whisk well. Add the rest of the water and bring to boil in a saucepan, turn the heat down to simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Add the vegetables, herbs, garlic and the CHEF® Red Wine and Port Reduction, mix well and bring to boil.


Turn heat down to simmer for 10-15 minutes.

Strain sauce into a new pan and bring back to boil and serve.

  • Cut the vegetable fine to extract the most flavour
  • Adding a little port at the end brings a little added sweetness.
