Creamy Porridge with Stewed Fruits

By enriching liquid milk with milk powder you can boost the nutrition of many recipes including those at breakfast. This creamy enriched porridge recipe offers a source of protein, calcium and fibre in every serve. And, for a less labour intensive option use the combi oven and cook covered for 35-40 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 3.5L milk 
  • 200g SUNSHINE Full Cream Milk Powder
  • 500g UNCLE TOBYS Traditional Oats
  • 250g NESTLÉ Reduced Fat Cream

For Stewed Fruit

  • 750g diced seasonal fresh fruit 
  • 75g sugar
     

Method

1.    Bring milk and SUNSHINE Full Cream Milk Powder to the boil. Add UNCLE TOBYS Traditional Oats and whisk/stir regularly for 25 mins until the oats are cooked.
2.    Meanwhile, combine fruit and sugar together and gently cook with lid on for 25-30 minutes. 
3.    Fold NESTLÉ Reduced Fat Cream through the cooked porridge and serve topped with stewed fruit.
