Roast Beef Topside with Wellness Gravy Reduced Sodium

  • 2.5kg Beef Topside
  • 30ml olive oil
  • Pinch of salt & pepper
  • 2 carrots, peeled and cut roughly
  • 1 onion, cut roughly
  • 1 garlic clove, cut in half

Mashed Potato

  • 1.150 lt Water
  • 700ml cream
  • 14g salt
  • 140g MAGGI Natural Mashed Potato
  • 140g unsalted butter, diced


  • 50g Wellness Gravy Reduced Sodium
  • 500ml water


  • Drizzle the beef with the olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Sear in a hot pan until lightly browned. 
  • Place the carrots, onion and garlic in a roasting tray as a base and lay the beef on top.
  • Place into a pre heated oven 180c and roast for 1 hour 15 minutes. Remove and allow to rest in a warm place.
  • For the mash bring to boil the water, cream, and salt. Remove from the heat and whisk in the MAGGI Natural Mash. Press in the diced butter and leave to rest for 10 minutes.
  • Prepare the Wellness Gravy Reduced Sodium as per pack instructions and set aside.
  • Slice the beef and serve with the mash and gravy and vegetables of choice.
