Lamb Shank Casserole

Instructions

  1. Coat lamb lightly with flour. Heat oil in pan, brown lamb, remove from pan.
  2. Add vegetables to pan, cook 5 minutes. Add combined remaining ingredients except butter beans, bring to boil stirring.
  3. Place shanks in large baking pan, pour sauce over, cover, bake in 200°C oven 2-2.5 hours until shanks are cooked.
  4. Stir in butter beans and if necessary thicken sauce with a little cornflour.
