Sensational Mince Plant Based Koftas

Served with a dipping sauce, meatballs made with HARVEST GOURMET SENSATIONAL™ Ground Mince are a tasty and convenient menu addition as a side, snacks and starters. From oven to grill, pan to deep fry, they can be cooked in a variety of methods.

Method

600g HARVEST GOURMET SENSATIONAL™ Ground Mince
150g Breadcrumbs 
6g Fennel Seeds 
6g Cumin Powder 
6g Coriander Powder 
10g Red Pepper Flakes 
30g Fresh Parsley, chopped
15g Fresh Mint, chopped
1pc White Onion, chopped
6pcs Eggs 
5 tsp Salt 
3tsp White Pepper Powder
50mL Oil 

  1. Combine all the ingredients except oil together and allow it to marinate for 45 minutes.  
  2. Portion out 20g per meatball and form to shape.
  3. Once the meatballs have been formed, place them into the fridge to be chilled for 15 minutes before cooking. 
  4. Heat oil in pan and sear the meatballs till cooked. 

Chef's Tip

  • Serve with hummus or Tzatziki sauce on the side or with rice pilaf or couscous for a complete meal.
  • Grill it instead for extra flavour.
  • Uncooked meatballs can be stored up to 3 months in the freezer.
  • Thaw before cooking. 
  • For a vegan recipe, substitute egg with coconut oil.
