Chargrilled Pieces with Lo Mein noodles

40g brown sugar 

120ml soy sauce, low sodium 

190ml dark soy sauce 

90ml oyster sauce 

30ml MAGGI TASTE OF ASIA Hoisin Sauce 

1.5 teaspoons ground black pepper 

12ml sesame oil 


700g HARVEST GOURMET® Vegetarian Chargrilled Pieces 

2 garlic cloves, crushed 

2 teaspoons ginger, grated 

100ml soy sauce, reduced salt 


30ml rice bran oil 

500g shitake mushrooms, sliced 

180g Chinese cabbage, shredded 

900g carrots, julienne 

300g Spanish onion, rough chopped 

800g fresh Singapore noodles 

4 shallots, chopped 

1 long red chilli, sliced 

Cook the noodles according to pack instructions, drain and set aside. 

To make the sauce whisk all the ingredients together in a bowl, set aside. 

Mix the with the garlic, ginger and soy sauce and leave HARVEST GOURMET® Vegetarian Chargrilled Pieces to marinade. 

Heat the oil in a large pan and cook the onions for 3-4 minutes. Add the mushrooms, cabbage and carrot and stir fry for 3 minutes. Add, the noodles and the sauce and toss all together the HARVEST GOURMET® Vegetarian Chargrilled Pieces until warmed through. Sprinkle with the shallots and sliced chilli and serve. 

Chef's Tip

  • Fry off the HARVEST GOURMET® Vegetarian Chargrilled Pieces and mix it all to a large salad.  
  • Serve with a spicy harissa sauce on the side.
