Australia's longest running culinary competition for young chefs provides a crucial platform for the chefs of tomorrow to showcase their skills of today. It's an experience like no other that offers the oppportunity to connect and learn with a national network of inspirational professionals, with the chance to compete for an unforgettable international prize trip.
You will have the chance to showcase your culinary talent and win globally recognised medals across entrée, main and dessert course categories, and if successful in your region’s heat, you will get to cook-off against the country’s best chef talent in the National Final at Fine Food Australia in Melbourne this September with one team being crowned the 2018 National Winners and awarded a culinary trip of a lifetime to Italy.
To be eligible for entry, you must be an Australian resident working in the culinary industry and aged between 16 and under 25 on 30th September 2018.
HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO DO
Step 1. Find a cooking partner and get your team together. You will both need to:
- Complete an entry form
- Tell us why you deserve to win the Nestlé Golden Chef's Hat Award.
Step 2. If successful, your team will compete in the Regional or Metro cook-offs (depending on where you live). Ten winning teams from the Regional and Metro cook-offs will go on to compete at the National Final, to be held in Melbourne this September.
Step 3. At the National Finals, to be held at Fine Food Australia in Melbourne this September, one winning team will take out the title and $15,000 culinary prize trip.
